Two of the top-3 teams in the region all season.... Collins comes in ranked #14 in BGP state poll; South unranked, but the Dragons have been in and out of the poll throughout the season.

 

Dragons come in as the 29th district runner-ups.

Collins won the 30th district convincingly - that was expected to be a knock-down, drag-out tourney and was anything but.

 

Tyson Turner is back in the Collins lineup; he didn't start in the first round game against Henry County, but played extensive minutes. Did not look or play like he was 100% yet, but gives Collins added quality depth.

 

South looked solid and efficient in dispatching Simon Kenton - the #4-ranked team in the region - in round 1. The Dragons - who have now played 6 games in the New Castle gym this season, 3 in the Henry Co Inv, 1 in the Henry Co Classic, 1 against Henry County in a regular season game, and 1 in the region tourney - seem very comfortable in the Roy.

 

This will be a matchup of two of the best shooting teams in the region, and two teams that played high-octane basketball for 32 minutes. Take a deep breath before this game starts....LOL

 

This is a game not to miss, but if you have to - or want to watch it after the fact - tune in to Pegasus Sports.
