If they win more power to them I’ve seen both play for several years in the region and I’ll go with S. Oldham and Coach Simpson every day and twice on Sunday. There has been more than several times SK has brought a very good team to Henry Co. only to come up short. I could very well be wrong this year but my opinion is based on past performance. The past performance is a first round exit the last four times they played in the regional tournament.

From a fan perspective a tremendous opening game....the last two years, the first round has featured Oldham vs. Collins....this year, it's South vs. Simon Kenton. Shouldn't be a shortage of points that night. Shot clock lovers will be happy.

 

Henry with a tough draw - but the Wildcats had to draw either Oldham, Collins, or SK, so there really was no easy draw.

 

Oldham with an interesting draw - Woodford is one of only two KY schools to beat the Colonels this year, winning by 5 back in mid-December in Versailles. Motivation, anyone?

 

Gallatin and Grant should be a very interesting game. Gallatin has made it to the semi-final round three straight years, earning first round wins over Simon Kenton in two of those years. Grant County won the regular season matchup by 12....
