Congrats to Ryle. They were the better team, obviously, and most had little doubt they would win this one.

 

I do want to say, though, that Cooper Girls Basketball is going to be fun to watch over the next few years. The 3 best players on their roster this year were freshman, freshman (tore ACL early in the season), and an 8th grader! This team could be really, really good in two years.

 

Congrats to both teams on representing your school's the right way.

I agree with NKYCoach859 in regards to Cooper.

This is the just the beginning of what should be a special rivalry between Cooper and Ryle for the next 3-4 years. At one point in second quarter there were 4 8th graders and two fresh on floor between two teams. Boone and Conner will have hands full keeping up!

By the looks of the updates on twitter this one was a lot closer than I expected. This young Cooper team will be really good in a couple years as long as they stay together.
