halfback20
Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme sat out Wednesday's practice with what he and team officials said was a sprained right thumb, and he's questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. However, a league source said Delhomme has a partially torn ligament in the thumb and chances of him playing are not good. Coach John Fox said Delhomme's status will be day-to-day. Backup Chris Weinke worked with the first team at Wednesday's practice. Delhomme suffered the injury to his throwing hand in the first quarter of Monday's loss to Philadelphia. halfback20
Not sure if this is good or bad...the Giants have made a few back ups look like Joe Montana in the past...

Hangman
Not good for Delhomme... A couple good showings while he's injured could cost him his already questionable job.
halfback20
Already making excuses??? :sssh: No, where did you see anything remotely close to an excuse? If anything...this takes all excuses away. If he is out, and the Giants lose...the Giants don't deserve to sniff the post season.

Hangman
To Wienke? I doubt it, he's already like 44 years old or something. Not necessary to Wienke... But if they see they can win without Delhomme, it'll make it a lot easier to replace him.
