LexingtonLegend Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Somerset started out with a big lead due to a very cold start by Gallatin. The Wildcats seemed to struggle with the size on offense early but seemed to figure it out late in the second. Would say Somerset lead by at least 12 early in the first but Gallatin got it back to 5 to end the half. Gallatin looked much better coming out of the gates in the 2nd half and was even able to grab the lead at one point. Was a very competitive and good defensive game during the second half. With 3 minutes to go it was very easily anybody’s game to win. Somerset was able to get the ball to fall a few times in the final minutes which caused Gallatin to panic it seemed. Somerset is a good team and if there shots start to fall later in the tournament could very easily win the tournament. Gallatin also showed that at points could be a very good team and potentially make a run later in the year. Congrats to Somerset!

Jarin Rassman and Gage Ashcraft combined for a 17-1 run and Gallatin took the lead at 25-22 with 5:24 left in the third period. The game went back-and-forth, and Gallatin grabbed its last lead with 5:12 to play in the game on a Logan Riddle layup that made it 34-33 Gallatin County. Somerset then closed the game on a 12-4 run to account for the final score.
Carl Spackler Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 The radio announcers said that Jase Bruner for Somerset took 5 charges in this game. He also had 9 rebounds at one point. That's filling up the hustle stat sheet.

Somerset's scoring only adds up to 28 points. I think you might have copied and pasted Somerset's rebounds instead.

I think you might have copied and pasted Somerset's rebounds instead. You're right. Correct Somerset Scoring: Burton 17, Grundy 11, Sheron 10, Bruner 5, Stevens 3 That looks right. Sorry about the error....
