Ohio County Eagles (15-3) UP 1 The Eagles bounced back from being upset by Mclean County last week with two blowout wins over 3rd Region competition. They defeated Grayson County by 25 and Daviess County by 23. Freshman Elijah Decker led the Eagles with 18 in the win over Grayson County. Ohio goes on the road this week with games against Barren County and Muhlenberg County. The game on Friday at Muhlenberg is a big one. If the Eagles win, they will clinch the #1 seed in the 10th district and a bye into the 3rd Region tournament. 2. Owensboro Red Devils (11-7) UP 1 The Devils took care of business in their only game this week, getting a home win over Muhlenberg 59-55. Amari Robinson Wales is starting to heat up for the Devils. He had 16 in the win. The Devils will be heavily favored in games this week against Grayson County and Daviess County. 3. Breckenridge County Tigers (11-4) DOWN 2 The Tigers drop a couple of spots this week after a disappointing road loss at North Hardin. Hardin has been playing much better as of late and the Tigers couldn't find an answer on the road. Justin Shrewsberry led the Tigers to a win against Daviess County to open the week. Breckenridge takes on #1 John Hardin this week before taking on Southern at John Hardin to close the week. 4. Owensboro Catholic Aces (11-6) SAME The Aces have been entrenched into the 4 spot for several weeks in a row. Tuesday, they blew out Trinity after the Raiders nearly pulled off the upset in last weeks All-A tournament. Friday, they were able to hold off upset minded Apollo, as they knocked down 10 3 pointers. Drew Hartz has really been coming on strong for the Aces, scoring 22 against the Eagles. Owensboro Catholic heads to the All-A State Tournament this week. 5. Muhlenberg County Mustangs (8-10) SAME The Mustangs opened the week with a 50 point district win against a good Mclean County team. Nash Divine stayed hot reaching double figures in the win. Friday, they battled Owensboro on the road before coming up 5 points short. The Mustangs return home this week for games against Trinity and Ohio County. The Mustangs must defeat Ohio County to keep their chances for the #1 seed in the 10th district alive. 6. Mclean County Cougars (11-5) SAME The Cougars have been a little jeckyl and hyde this season. Especially in the 10th district. They have been blown out by 30 plus points at the hands of Ohio County and Muhlenberg this season but they also have an upset win over the Eagles in Hartford. Mclean was able to bounce back from that tough district defeat to get a win against Evansville Day School. They have 2 tough home against against Webster County and Caldwell County this week. 7. Butler County Bears (13-3) SAME The Bears have an impressive record, but have struggled lately against teams with equal talent. They dropped a tough district overtime game in Grayson County on Friday before bouncing back with a win over St Francis. They will be tested this week with games against Owensboro Catholic, Hancock County and Trinity this week. 8. Hancock County Hornets (6-8) SAME The Hornets went 1-1 this week, losing Tuesday to Tell City Indiana in a hard fought game. They were able to bounce back with a nice win over Adair County, 70-53. Coach Mike Orr is doing a great job of improving this team night in and night out. They look to keep improving this week with regional games against Butler County and Meade County. 9. Edmonson County Wildcats (7-10) UP 2 The Wildcats are healthy and have now won 4 games in a row. Chaz Wilson, led the Cats in scoring in a big district win over Trinity. They stayed hot, winning their 4th straight against Cloverport to close the week. They are in position to continue a climb up the poll this week with games against Russellville and Hancock County. 10. Grayson County Cougars (5-12) UP 1 The Cougars started the week with a tough loss to Ohio County but were able to end their 6 game losing streak with a nice overtime win against Butler County. Nolan Shartzer had a big game for the Cougars in the win. Grayson will be tested this week with games against Owensboro and Breckenridge County. 11. Meade County Greenwave (5-9) DOWN 2 The Waves have dropped 3 straight games, losing 2 tough ones this week to Thomas Nelson and Elizabethtown. They have a real chance to get back on track with 2 winable games at Daviess County and Hancock County this week. 12. Apollo Eagles (3-13) UP 1 The Eagles are without a doubt playing their best basketball of the season. They pushed Owensboro Catholic on Friday, before a last second game tying shot rimmed out at the buzzer. The Eagles are going to be a dangerous first round 9th district opponent. The Eagles continue their tough schedule this week with home games against Breckenridge and Evansville Central. 13. Whitesville Trinity Raiders (6-13) DOWN 3 Since losing a heartbreaker to Owensboro Catholic in the All-A Regional Championship game, the Raiders have not responded well. They have since lost 3 straight to Edmonson, Russellville and Owensboro Catholic. They will have a chance to bounce back this week with games against Muhlenberg and Butler County. 14. Daviess County Panthers (5-12) SAME The Panthers are in the midst of a 7 game losing streak. They were very competitive in tough games this week against Breck and Ohio County. They have home games against Meade and Owensboro this week. 15. Cloverport Aces (1-13) SAME The Aces dropped games this week against Butler County and Edmonson County. They have some winable games this week against Ft Knox, Beth Haven and Dawson Springs.
