Wright State (17-4, 7-1 Horizon) had to work hard to beat a very improved Youngstown State (11-9, 4-3 Conf) team. The Raiders nailed 40.9% pf their shots, while the Penguins hit 37.7% of theirs. Freshman Tanner Holden (Wheelersburg, Oh) had 13 rebounds to go with just 6 points, for the winners. Loudon Love (Geneva, IL) added 21 points and 9 boards to lead the Raiders, with Bill Wampler (Eau Claire, WI) added 16 points, two over his season average. Donel Cathcart III (Buffalo, NY) led YSU with 21 points and 6 boards. Darius Quisenberry (Springfield, Oh) struggle hitting just 5-16 but still ended with 19 points and 6 assists.

I am glad that Wright State won again but also glad to see the YSU is on some level getting better.

 

Saw them Thursday at NKU. In a year or so they will be really nice team.
