IMO, Ryle has plenty of pieces to be a winning program. They have a very solid PG who is a Soph and good length between 6’3” and 6’5” with about 4-5 others. A barrel chested big helps in the middle and probably had 15-20 against Beechwood tonight. They lack leadership and just need time together. I was impressed with what I saw considering what I had heard and read about their current program. I will say, it was a pretty sad display of a student’s section for a school that size. Maybe 20 strong with another 6-8 players from their Frosh boys team.

Good call on the Ryle center Fryman Graves. He worked his tail off in the middle tonight and finished with a hard earned 17 points. He battled all game. Was very impressed with him and Caggiano. They left it all on the court tonight.

 

Biggest thing for me tonight. Beechwood perimeter defense shut down two string guards in Donovan Robinson and Tyler Bush. Combined they came into the fame averaging 28.3 points and finished tonight 2-17 for four points! Kudos to Cole Busald, Will Downton, and Will Rolf especially for their defensive efforts.

 

Ryle reminds me a lot of Dixie. Not blessed with deep talented benches, but they’ll fight you til the end. Kudos to Coach Belcher for that.
