Cordia got off to a good start, defeating Monroe County 77-64 in the opening round. That's when it all went down hill for the Lions as they would fall in 2 of their final 3 games. Losing 87-63 to Somerset, 71-49 to region foe, Estill County but bouncing back to defeat Jackson City 74-64 in their final game of the tournament. The Lions will make the trip to Knox Central later this week to participate in the Panther Holiday Shootout. They will play Western, Seneca and Halls TN.

6) Perry County Central (3-6): The Commodores made the trip to Hilton Head South Carolina this past weekened to participate in the Seahawk Classic. The classic wasn't too kind to the Commodores as they would lose 2 of their 3 games. Getting crushed in the opening game 72-43 to East Lake FL and getting edged out by John Handley VA 54-45. The Commodores did pick up a win this morning in the final game as they cruised past Miami Killian FL 64-45. Perry County Central will head to Belfry later on this week for the annual Mountain School Boy Classic. They will play Belfry, Johnson Central and Shelby Valley.

7) Breathitt County (1-5): The Bobcats have fallen on hard times. After picking up their first win of the season in their second game of the season, they have lost 4 straight. Two of them were last week. 64-52 to Knott County Central and 83-73 to Robertson County at the Rowan County KY Bank Challenge. Can the Bobcats get things turned around this week in the Williamstown Holiday Tournament? They open up with Metcalfe County on Thursday so we shall see.

8) Buckhorn (3-5): After picking up an opening round win of the Smokey Mountain Classic at Galtinburg TN, defeating Gordon Central GA 71-35, the Wildcats would get crushed in their next two games down there, losing 60-44 to Canyon County TN and KY's own Russell County 58-46. 14) June Buchanan (0-4): The Crusaders forfeited their lone game last week to district foe Letcher County Central. They are winless so far and have been blowed out in all of their games this season.

15) Lee County (2-5): The Bobcats fell in their lone game last week, losing 73-63 to district foe Powell County. Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed improvement, losing to the defending 56th district champs. This could be the year they sneak into the region tournament.

This list right on, nice work "All State Baseball" - the All A tournament in a few weeks should be a dandy and the regular region has multiple strong contenders; everyone is chasing Hazard right now as they are the clear frontrunner.

Looks good. I agree with the above about the All A making things a little more clear. The 14th probably has more All A teams than any region in the state. All but 4 schools are All A schools. Many of these teams will be playing one another in the tournament.
