West Florida 48 Minnesota State 40 (Division 2 Championship)

Featured Replies

So, on the advice of my dad (a HS football coach in the '50s and '60s), I watched the first half of the Division 2 championship. The West Florida QB, a redshirt freshman (transferred from Southern Illinois, where he was about 5th on the depth chart) named Austin Reed is from St. Augustine and was an acolyte in the church that my parents attend. My parents are friends with him and his family.

399 yards and five touchdown passes. In the first half. Even if he stinks it up in the second half, that was something to watch.

Is that Hayden Fox on the sideline?

I came in here just to say go Screaming Eagles!

This has turned out to be a heck of a game. Minnesota State has just scored to cut the lead to 8 with 4:03 to go.

UWF holds on for their 1st National Championship in only their 4th year as a program.
