Kankakee (IL) 54 St. Xavier 50 (OT)

Featured Replies

Tigers come up short in OT to ranked Kankakee (IL) for first loss. Tigers had a shot to win in regulation but don’t get a shot off in last 30 seconds. Tigers were without starter Mekhi Smith who is injured.

How serious is the injury?

He was walking a round but had slight limp so not sure how long will be out.

Sounded like size really bothered St. X; isn’t surprising because isn’t a very big team.

And they were athletic. Also hit some timely three’s. I hope Bansbach will be back by January since he will add more rebounding.

Tigerpride94, did it appear as though St. X missed Mekhi Smith during the game? I ask because it appears they are holding their own with him out or in limited availability.

Probably missed him a little. Seem to have depth at guard. Probably miss Bansbach the most down low.
