Cincinnati 82 Vermont 73

Featured Replies

Cats led by as many as 23 in the second half but hot shooting from outside allowed Vermont to make it closer with Jarron sitting basically the entire second half with a hip injury.

Keith Williams led UC with 23 pts, 5 art, 5 rbs.

Jaevin Cumberland scored 21 off the bench.

Next up...a trip to Cintas Sat for the Crosstown Shootout.

I kinda wish Jarron Cumberland would have tried going pro last year. Not for any negative reason in regards to the team, but because now he is beginning to raise questions about health/effort.

I have no doubt a healthy Jarron is great for the Bearcats, but it's been a rough few weeks for the man!

They played much better than they did against UNLV, that is for sure. They are far from a finished product, but at least they are on an uptick as they head into a game with the 2nd best team they'll play the rest of the year (Tennessee).

Jarron's movement without the ball was still not what you'd expect from a Conference POY, but as @ChickenWyngz alluded to, he clearly is far from 100%.

I don't know if you've been paying attention or not, but Iowa is pretty good too.

UC playing the third toughest non conference schedule in the country will definitely have them ready for conference play.

As far as Jarron, he finally looks like he's having fun. More smiling and interaction on the bench with his teammates. Once he gets healthy, he will look like the player we all expected to see.

A) I was going by KenPom, which is at least directionally accurate.

B) I've watched EVERY Iowa game, including Cal Poly, and included in that was the masterpiece where DePaul housed them in Iowa City.

C) Memphis and UCONN, and Houston, all ahead of Iowa, but behind Xavier.

D) Where did you get the non-conf ranking at this point in the season?
