Our house has always been the tree up the day after Thanksgiving and the lights outside get turned on. However, for some reason, this year is different as I’m sitting here by Christmas tree light watching the football game with my lights on outside as I just finished putting them up.

Why wouldn’t you celebrate the opportunity to gather *with those you care about?

 

You can celebrate whatever you want. My point was Thanksgiving isn’t a real holiday and is irrelevant to Christmas decorations IMO.

The Christmas tree makes my wife happy. We put it up as early as she wants and leave it up as long as she wants. It doesn’t bother me.
