I guess the dislike for the Duffys just keeps many from giving credit where its due. Henderson Co dispatched both Warren Central & Owensboro Sr. on the road to reach the final 4, but not even a mention. Sure Henderson got smoked by Ryle, but so did Ryle by Trinity & yet they R listed repeatedly.:irked:

Well Ryle got to the state championship game and lost to a traditional powerhouse/juggernaut. They won 4 playoff games, despite even if it was an easier road than that of Trinity..... Henderson should be ranked in the top 10 in state. I don't think they would break the top 5 though. I would probably have them at #7 maybe #6.

They would have made 9 or 10 on my list had I continued. The three teams that I added, I feel, were all better teams. In 4A the power has always resided in Louisville with some good teams in Lexington now and then. NKY and WKY have had good years but not with anywhere near the consistency of the teams in the twin L's.

I will admit that list would likely have been quite different had the playoffs not been structured as they were. If this were the same format as last year Trinity and Male would have likley played in the title game. Using that one Ryle may not have actually made it into the top 5 as they would have probably played the Rocks in round 3.

As it is, the playoffs were what they were. I don't think that any WKY teams would have made top 8 considering their showing against Ryle, but that is my opinion.
