St. Xavier 28 Manual 9

Featured Replies

Tigers had 2 big plays throwing to Michael Duddy with 1 a TD and other down to 2yd line. Tigers also had short field score off Manual bad punt snap. Tiger defense played well tonight only giving up one TD.

Manual had good season and look for them to be good again next year.

Good win for the Tigers! Question, was their a new group of OL playing in this game? It seemed like St. X had a new center and RT.

Yes. Turner Farris was injured last week so moved Tucker Grieve to Center. Mayon Konijeti who was injured in Henry Clay game returned tonight.

St.X QB Doug Bodhaine ran for 3 short yardage TD’s and passed for 1TD.

How long is Turner out for?

Thought St. X played well tonight. Looked efficient running the ball, which will be key next week. Made the big plays in the passing game when needed; got a feeling you’re going to see Mekhi do just about everything next week. Tiger defense did a very good job of containing the Manual rushing attack and for the most part not allowing Manual many yards after contact. Manual’s lone TD drive was aided by 30 yard in penalties that St. X had Manual stopped.

Not sure. It’s a MCL sprain.

DE Mick Walsh hurt hand most likely broke so he probably will be out rest of season. St.X sure has had a lot of injuries. Although I think in better shape than last year as far as injuries.

Manual QB Zach Recktenwald is tough as nails and gave it his all out there. I’ve watched him play all the way since flag football days in 1st and 2nd grade and 3rd -8th tackle when he was QB at St. Bernard. Hid dad is St.X grad and I would have loved for him to be a Tiger. Congrats on a good HS career and will be tough for Manual to replace him next year.

Congratulations to St X. This is a very good win! Good luck next week.

For Manual, it was a super season to get back in the path toward relevance in football. Coach Carmine has done a fine job. If they could have finished the deal vs Male a couple weeks ago it would have been off the charts! QB will be very tough to replace. But with Northington back you have your best player back.

That’s unfortunate, but last years injury bug was crazy. Quality depth always becomes a factor late in the season, especially in the playoffs.

Last year was a state championship barring injuries.

Good win for the tigers. Seem to be playing much better football.
