Holy Cross Indians at Beechwood Tigers Football | 11/8/219 7:3: PM | Digital Scout live sports scores and stats

On a cold night in Fort Mitchell, Beechwood easily moves on in the 2A playoffs by beating Covington Holy Cross 63-0. Tigers QB Cameron Hergott (15-19-239-3-0) had a big night through the air and with his legs (9-28-2). He was responsible for 5 TDs total. RB Cole Stammer (6-105-0) did not score, but three other running backs did. WR Parker Mason (4-108-2) was the favorite target of Hergott with several big gains, scoring twice (one on a 76 yard pass late in the 2nd quarter). Holy Cross struggled on both sides of the ball tonight. After Beechwood began the game with a TD, the Indians had a nice drive only to have an interception deep in Tiger territory. QB Javier Ison (3-4-47-0-1) was injured in the 2nd quarter after a short run and needed to leave the field via medical personnel. Former QB Hayden Spencer returned to action to relieve Ison. WR Brandon McClendon was held to 3 receptions for 40 yards. Once again, it was all Beechwood tonight.

Beechwood (6-5) will remain at home on 11/15 to face Newport (8-3) in the second round of the 2A playoffs. Holy Cross finishes their season at 2-9.

Any word on Ison? Hope the kid is OK.

I don’t have any details other than he was ok and met back with the team last night when they got back to HC.
