Goodbye 2019 seniors. Thank you so much for all of us the fan.

What a ride you have been on and I am guessing for some it seems like it just started and after tonight for many of you, this ride that at times as been magical, nightmarish, fun, sad and without knowing it very life changing. What you have taken away from the game mostly played on Friday nights has taken you to places you may never have gotten to if you had never put the pads on for the first time. You would have missed the first tackle you ever made, missed the first win your team had and missed out on knowing how to handle coming out on the short end of the game.

Tonight when you are in the locker room for the last time, take the time to inhale it all, make sure not to miss the little things like getting taped for the last time, the teammate who always makes sure you know he has you back. Listen to the coach as he gives you his last pregame speech. As you walk to the field again take it all in, because this is it meaning you no longer get to take the holy walk from the locker room to the entrance of the stadium with your teammates, coaches and even the team managers. Look at the crowd and remember the cheers and even the boo's in just what will seem like minutes this will no longer be part of your life.

From warmups to the team huddle before kickoff, at some point take a deep breath and enjoy every second of this for what you have earned through blood, sweat and tears is coming oh so close to an ending that will be like no other ending you will have in your life.

Captains as you take that final walk to midfield for the coin toss take your brother in pads hand and walk with a confidence and the eye of the tiger and shake the opposing captains hand give them that football hug and wish them the best and maybe say thanks for all of the times you went against them creating memories you are never going to forget.

Finally as you take the field as you line up right before that first, final kickoff look around and notice every little detail because again, this is the last time you will get this honor. As the game goes on as cliche as this sounds play every single play like it is your last, leave nothing on the field because it really is for most of you your last high school game. Seniors this is one time you all need to be a leader, show the young guns what it takes to really leave it on the field. Help your brother in pads up after the play, make sure he knows you are there for him on every play leave your mark in this game like no other game. As the clock strikes all zeros and you make that walk across the field to shake hands with the opposing team make sure to go out of your way to bid good bye to the seniors you have played against for so long and them them know in your own way how special and fun it as been. Before going to your side of field make sure to shake the other staff hands and say your final game good bye to them.

To all of you from me and I hope all of the other fans, thank you so much for giving us all so much fun and memories of our own. Like the memories you have made, ours will never be forgotten either and without you, we would have never been able to make ours.

At times you might not have heard it but we were always cheering and wishing you all nothing but success. In closing I/we want to say to all of you, no matter what path you travel after graduating all of us wish you only success.

Thank you all.
