Class 5A

Covington Catholic had the difficult task of taking on a hungry rival in Highlands one week after their emotional upset. The Colonels survived a game closer than most expected, and will need to improve their output against a solid Conner squad. The Bluebirds from Fort Thomas can't let their loss haunt them as Cooper reflects who will be the 3rd seed or the 4th seed. Pulaski County has one last order of business before wrapping up another District Title, beat their rivals from Southwestern.

1. Covington Catholic at #8 Conner

2. Frederick Douglass at Montgomery County

3. Scott County vs. 6A #8 Ballard

4. Bowling Green at Greenwood

5. South Warren at Christian County

6. South Oldham -- OPEN

7. Pulaski County vs. Southwestern

8. Conner vs. #1 Covington Catholic

9. Owensboro vs. Grayson County

10. Highlands at Cooper

I would have 6-10 like this:

6. Pulaski

7. Owensboro

8. South Oldham

9. Conner

10. Highlands

I think anyone 3-10 can win or be competitive with each other. 5A looks like a 2-horse race right now.

I think it is a 4 horse race. Don't underestimate Scott County or Bowling Green, there is a lot of talent on those teams.

My top 10 are —
