Josh Crawford didn't start because imflammation of the knee, but led the team with 17 points.

The young HOUNDS looked great. I'm telling you this is just one game, but with South struggling against Knox Central (trailed at halftime), Corbin could make a run.

They must have exploded after the half...it was pretty close if i recall correctly...

Hatmaker looks like the go-to guy, he only scored eight points, though. They like to shoot the threes A LOT...1-of-16 from 3-point land and 18-of-71 from the floor.

Really reminds me of last season's team.

I think the Hounds tempo wore the Jackets down in the second half. Nice win for a bunch of young Dawgs. Whitley is up next. I am sure Coach Deaton will have a few surprises up his sleeves for the Hounds. After an impressive win over Jellico the Colonels will turn up the heat and get after it Friday night.

Coach Deaton is one of the best in the state. If he can get his players to listen he will get everything they have and will give the Hounds and many other teams in the region a run for their money. Never underestimate the power of good coaching. Hounds better be focused on Friday. I would say the Colonel crowd will give them a big Colonel welcome to Lawson gym.

Corbin got good play from several young players with two freshman scoring in double figures, Johnson with 16 and Manns with 12. Freshman Isaac Wilson came off the bench and looked really good filling in at the point guard spot. Sophomore Josh Smith also scored in double figures(14 pts. I believe) and displayed a well-rounded all around game.

Manns scored 11 of his points in the game's final 5 minutes.

Way to start the season Hounds.

Those young Redhounds showed some game beyond their years at times last night. Crawford did whatever he wanted and made it seem all too easy, then again middlesboro didn't really have anyone who could challenge him. Corbin will be a much better team than they were last year by the end of the season as long as Crawford stays healthy.

How did Hamlin play.

Corbin must have played real well. Surprised at the margin of victory.
