Mayfield 38 Paducah Tilghman 20

Oh yes they call it The Streak....

So something I noticed in the highlights on WPSD. I could clearly see on 2 of Mayfield’s TD passes, that the QB didn’t grip the laces. Does he always do this?

Tip of the cap to Mayfield. The streak continues.

The biggest difference most people saw coming into the game was Mayfield's elite level quarterback compared to what most would consider a below average passing game for Tilghman.

I think that battle played out as expected.

I think Tilghman learned a lot in the loss. I suppose that's better than what happened in the past. I fully expect this game to help Tilghman moving forward.

The win for Mayfield tonight makes the all time record for this series Mayfield: 50 wins - Paducah: 46 wins. And 10 ties. This was their 106 meeting over the past 109 years. Prior to the current Mayfield streak Paducah led series 46-36-10.

It was actually a long game. Lots of penalties, and lots of cramping and play stoppage in the second half.

I agree QB play is what separates these two teams the most. Other wise it would have been much closer. Stinson is the real deal. He can put the ball anywhere.

I’m not a believer in Mayfield’s defense right now. Way too many missed tackles. It was garbage honestly. And I’m guessing MF had double digit penalties. A team better than PT will make them pay for it.

Stinson is amazing. I'd sure love to have that skill set in our offense. We've had guys running good routes and getting open and we simply can't make the throws.

My one worry is that he hangs onto the ball too long and takes unnecessary hits. Now, he is throwing touchdowns while taking these hits (twice tonight), but he has to stay upright and healthy. #4 RB for Mayfield isn’t big, but runs STRONG.

PT played a good game tonight. Came out and scored on their second? Play from scrimmage to go up 7-0. Ran the ball well. QB made some good throws early, just couldn’t sustain.
