Justin Verlander pitched his 3rd no-no today against the Blue Jays, striking out 15 and walking only the leadoff hitter.

 

He joins Cy Young, Bob Feller and Larry Corcoran with 3 career no-hitters. Of course, Nolan Ryan with 7 no-hitters and Sandy Koufax with 4 no-hitters are the only pitchers in the history of Major League Baseball with more no-hitters.

 

Verlander, 36-years old, seems to still have the stuff and time to maybe get another one. Ryan pitched 2 no-hitters well into his 40's at the ages of 43 and 44.

I still count Jim Maloney. He had three until baseball changed the rules midstream.
