Rule Changes You Want

Featured Replies

I don't know if it is actually a rule change. Perhaps more of an adjustment by officials, but there is absolutely one call I want called differently. Offensive players jumping into defenders, especially on three pointers, and getting fouls called has got to get fixed. If the offensive player creates the contact, it cannot be a foul on the defense. This got to the point of annoying in this off season. It needs to get fixed in college also.

I also would like to see post game reviews of games and some type of punishment on players faking to draw fouls. These guys who fall down every time they shoot a three pointer need to be penalized if the review shows no contact. I saw that happen quite a few times this post season also.

More technicals on players. Shut them up and play.

FIBA goaltending rules.

Added punctuation.

Some effort made to clean up the 4 and 5 step walks and the blatant carries.

A few goofy rules I would add...

A couple of 4 point circles just across midcourt on the sides.

5 points for anything beyond halfcourt.

2 fouls in any quarter (except the 4th or OT) and you sit the rest of the quarter.

Bottom 4 teams in the league have a playoff for 1st, 2nd, 12th and 13th pick. Other "lottery" teams would get 3rd to 11th.

Move a team to Louisville. They'd be the Colonels with Red, White and Blue team colors.

Leading scorer on each team either has to enter the 3-point or dunk contest... also bring in 2 to 4 "Street Dunkers" to compete against NBA players.
