Do you have any big plans for 420 Day?

On a serious note, why the hell isn't this stuff legal on a federal level yet?

As a former smoker, I have a few reservations about it, but I’m 100% behind full legalization.

I’m off work for a few days, I’d love to trade this beer in my hand for joint.

Government control of our lives.

Throw prostitution and gambling in there while we are at it.

"They" wouldn't want the population to be happy with something they can't control and tax like a plant.

Forbes.com just published an article speculating that Federal Marijuana Legalization is close if you read between the lines.

From the article:

Sometimes it is necessary to read between the lines. So, when the largest cannabis company in the world enters into a multi-billion dollar deal with a well-known American cannabis firm -- one that is set to take effect only after the federal government repeals marijuana prohibition -- it is hard not to consider the possibility that someone knows something and that maybe, just maybe we are closer than we think to living in a time when marijuana is taxed and regulated nationwide in a manner similar to alcohol and tobacco.

Agreed.

I’m a give and take kind of guy however.

If the Government wants the largest piece of the pie in the weed industry, I’m good with that, it’s not like we truly have much of a say in the matter anyway.

Legalize it and impose insanely high fines on the people who decide to grow, sell or buy it illegally.

One of my other concerns with legalization is our ability to produce something similar to a breathalyzer test for weed.

If we’re going to legalize it, we need to give police and employers a tool to regulate it also.

We need an instant test that law enforcement can use during traffic stops and that employers can use to determine if employees are under the influence at work.

Yes that is tricky.... but I guarantee that the number of people driving around right now high would surprise you. It is creepy to think of and I don't like the idea of people driving high. But I would rather a random other driver on the road with me to be high over being drunk or texting.

Just think.. Next year the entire month will be 420
