This semifinal match-up pairs defending region champion Boyd County (23-10) versus the region's winningest team this season, Rowan County (26-5). The two met in Morehead back in mid December with the Vikings prevailing, 70-61. This will be the third tournament encounter between the two schools in the last four years (Rowan won in 2016, Boyd won last year), with the previous two meetings being decided by a combined five points.

 

Two of the region's top scorers will go head to head with Rowan's Mason Moore (20.4 ppg) and Boyd's Blake Stewart (22.1 ppg) attempting to lead their respective school to the finals.

 

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00pm this Friday at Ellis T. Johnson Arena in Morehead.
