I get where you are coming from we can all agree human trafficking is evil and vile, and should be punished harshly. But I only feel the same about the customers if you can prove they knew about the trafficking aspect. Otherwise I feel for example it would be like punishing the drug user as harshly as the drug traffickers or dealers. If the customer knows the woman is there against their will then all bets are off.

 

I agree. You can't pin trafficking on someone who doesn't know what's going on.

True. However, I think (and maybe I'm wrong), it's probably not too hard to tell. It seems like all these places that get busted are all using undocumented immigrants, who barely speak English. I'm guessing not many grew up dreaming to come to America and make it big in the sex industry. So while the customers, may not "know" whether or not the ladies are there on their own free will, I think they are ignoring the fact that, more than likely they aren't.
