One of Owsley's coaches caused a scene, went into the stands causing problems, grabbing female spectators, both teams was sent into the locker rooms until everything calmed down.

Some more clarification on this, a lady from Estill, was telling Owsley's coaches to sit down, that's when they turned around looked at her that's when the ref's stopped the game and sent both teams to the locker room. A woman and man was ejected from the game.

It's being investigated. Owsley County superintendent is checking his the school system attorney to see if they can press charges or not. If they can then it's a misdameanor. Their's a video floating around showing an Estill fan screaming at the Owsley bench, their's another video showing that the Owsley assistant (who is suppose to be the sheriff) going up into the stands screaming at an Estill fan and pointing at his two deputies.

I'm as big as an Engineer fan as they are but I don't agree with the actions (whoever started the ruckus, whether it's Owsley or Estill). I think if they can find out whoever started it then they should be banned from ever atending another game at Owsley County, even if it's a regional championship (though that would never happen because Owsley's gym is too small).

Just seen three different videos and I would be ashamed for that guy to be the sheriff of my county. Heard that this behavior from him is why he's an ex state trooper.

Grabbed a lady's wrist and wouldn't let it go, an Estill admin came to her aid and he told the Estill admin that he'd kick his butt too.

I’m not going to keep going on this situation but there’s two sides to every story and you’re hearing one side. The video didn’t pick up the back and forth dialogue but after in identified himself as the county sheriff he had simply told her to enjoy the game but to calm down. The lady put her hand in his face while he was trying to talk to her, and told him to get out of her face, along with a few other choice words. It’s a sad situation regardless and I’m sure the fan and those around are nice people in 99% environments but an intense basketball games, especially a win-or-go-home district tournament game, can change many people’s personality like a Jekyll and Hyde.

The sheriff referred to in your post is as nice a guy as there is. Very much a gentleman in all aspects. He was only trying to do a job along with his deputies and try to get the game re-started and back on track.
