November 16, 200619 yr Sad that they have to produce that letter but understandable in todays world. I have never understood what inspires people to burn, fight, vandalize, etc....when they win/lose a big game.
November 16, 200619 yr That letter was sent to warn them of looking like Michigan fans for safety reasons. Do you want to see it??? I'm stuck up here in Detroit working this fall and have seen all of the discussion on the news. I'm living in an apartment just outside of Ann Arbor and have seen many of the painted up vehicles used on football Saturdays. The news suggested that the students and anyone else going to the game on Saturday should leave these vehicles behind. They suggested that the students would be better off to go down in a vehicle that didn't have Michigan license plates. The university is even sending down the campus police to patrol the Michigan tailgate parties Saturday to help keep them safe. It is a sad state of affairs that we as U.S. citizens can't police ourselves and enjoy a past time such as this huge game as just that - A Game!
