Powell County Coach David Fraley Retires.

Powell County head coach and basketball legend, 700 Win legend, David Fraley has retired. Blake Williams will coach the Pirates the rest of the season. I'm not sure if he's permanent or interim.

Why did he retire in the middle of the season?

Fraley’s had a great career. Besides his 700+ wins, he has coached three schools to state tournament appearances: Powell County, Pulaski County, and Knott County Central. And of course, won the state championship with Pulaski County in 1986.
