Coach Kenneth Walker has retired after a decade as the head coach of the Rebels, and 24 years of coaching in various capacities with Jefferson County Schools. Announced on Twitter back on October 10th.

Atherton was 19-82 in Walker's ten years as head coach, and went 4-6 in 2018.

Heard John L. Smith’s son who is on staff will be getting job. Maybe he can get his dad on staff since he was let go from KY State U.

Coach Walker was a class act and did a terrific job.

His kids played hard and never gave up - IMVHO.

He will be missed and wish him all the best in whatever awaits him.
