November 16, 200619 yr It also appears that Bonds will be with another team next year! Detroit Tigers Anaheim Angels Oakland A's ("Big Hurt" is gone) San Fran Which team will it be ?
November 16, 200619 yr I would say it would have to be the A's, Giants, or Angels just because after 14 years I don't see him packing up his family and leaving.
November 16, 200619 yr I would say it would have to be the A's, Giants, or Angels just because after 14 years I don't see him packing up his family and leaving. True....If he does choose to leave San Fran then I believe he will go to Oakland.

November 16, 200619 yr Schmidt is staying on the left coast. I agree with GT on the Peavy for Giles trade. The Padres are getting jobbed. I think they traded Barfield because they like Todd Walker better at second. The Cubs resigned Henry Blanco today. Good signing. Pitchers like throwing to him better than Barrett.

I still think the Cubs make a play for Carlos Lee and Vicente Padilla I think the Dodgers resign Nomah since JD Drew opted for FA. If the Red Sox miss out on the Japanese pitcher, they need a closer. Who is on the market to help? Where does JD Drew land?
November 16, 200619 yr If they don't get that pitcher then you could see the Red Sox go after Eric Gange if he's willing to take a pay cut!
November 18, 200619 yr The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Astros have placed multi year offers on both Carlos Lee and Alfonso Soriano. They are also said to be going after pitcher Woody Williams. If one or the other knows about this then I'm sure both will probably sign with the Astros. Lee is already said to be leaning towards the Astros and if he signs then it may be more likely that Soriano will sign too. That will be a dangerous lineup if they both do, and if it happens look for them to win the central hands down!
November 18, 200619 yr It appears that the Angels have also made a contract offer to Alfonso Soriano. But they don't seem to just stick with that. Some officials have stated that the Braves and Angels have discussed a trade that would send: Braves get: Ervin Santana Nick Adenhart Angels get: Andruw Jones Officials say that both teams GM's talked for numerous hours while discussing this potential trade. Also reporting is that the White Sox and Rangers are also interested in acquiring A. Jones.
November 19, 200619 yr A source in Boston is reporting that the Red Sox are set to sign LF JD Drew to a 4 year 48million deal.
November 19, 200619 yr An official in Baltimore is reporting that the Braves are discussing a trade with the Orioles that wound send pitcher Tim Hudson in exchange for 2 minor league prospects. The deal isn't being made for talent to be brought in but to get his huge contract off their backs. A deal that was supposed to bring a future ace has brought in an inconsistent 2 or 3 starter that loved coming to Atlanta but will be glad to leave not because of the team but because of the humid weather affecting his pitching performances. If they do decide to deal Hudson soon you could see a run at Glavine become more likely. Even though the Braves are thought to offer Glavine a hometown deal hoping that he truly misses Atlanta and will come back not for the money but for his respect for this team!
November 19, 200619 yr Soriano is reporting looking for a deal that would give him 7 years/128 million and the Phillies are reportedly not afraid to try and sign him.
November 19, 200619 yr Updated: Nov. 19, 2006, 11:45 AM ET Reds agree to deal with lefty reliever Stanton ESPN.com news services The Reds focused on improving their bullpen at last year's trading deadline. Apparently there's still work to be done. ESPN's Peter Gammons is reporting that Cincinnati and left-handed reliever Mike Stanton have agreed to a two-year contract. ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports that the contract also contains a vesting option for a third season. The 39-year-old Stanton was 7-7 with eight saves and a 3.99 ERA in 82 appearances with the Nationals and Giants last season. The Reds' closer situation is unsettled with Eddie Guardado out for next season following elbow surgery and club saves leader David Weathers a free agent. Stanton is a possibility to fill that role.
