November 16, 20187 yr In Pittsburgh, Brayden Point had a hat trick and Louis Domigue did enough to preserve a win for the Vasilevskyless Bolts. Pittsburgh, playing without Sidney Crosby (lower body injury), jumped out to a 2-0 lead off power play goals from Patrick Horqvist and Phil Kessel. Point's 3 goals (all power play goals) came in a span of 1:31 (across the end of the 1st period and the beginning of the 2nd). It was the sixth fastest hat trick in NHL history and the 2nd fastest in the expansion era (beginning in the 1967/68 season). They gave the Lightning a 3-2 lead. Horqvist scored again shortly after to tie the game, but with less than 5 minutes later, Yanni Gourde scored the game winner on yet another power play. At that point, with a little over 12 minutes to play in the 2nd, it looked like a shootout was getting read to happen, but the defenses took over.
November 16, 20187 yr Author The day started on a terrible note for the Bolts with goalie Andre Vasilevsky being flown back to Tampa for a re-evaluation of an injury he suffered in practice. Before the game, it was announce that Vassy would be out indefinitely with a broken foot. Louis Domingue will be the starter, now. Eddie Pasquale has been called up from the Syracuse Crunch to serve as backup.
November 16, 20187 yr This game was crazy and had a little bit of everything. I switched back and forth between the Jackets game and this one. Every time I tuned in, someone from either team was sitting in the Sin Bin. A total of 15 minor penalties were called in this game and both teams certainly made the most of it, with 6 of the 7 goals coming from the PP.

They were supposed to be throwbacks to the Mario Lemieux era. Before the game, the Pens honored him and the Mario Lemieux Foundation unveiling a wall sized mosaic depicting Mario in the concourse of the area. In the pregame, Evgeni Malkin and Brayden Point presented pucks to cancer patients from a local childrens hospital which benefits from the foundation.
November 17, 20187 yr I ended up watching the entire game, it was a crazy one! Vasilevskiy is out 4-6 weeks, not good.
