How would you change college basketball?

Featured Replies

We could always make it like college football and only allow the top 4 teams to be a part of March Madness.

Football is a total different animal when it comes to how many games they can play in a week compared to basketball. Football should expand their playoffs to more than 4. Basketball tournament is played in a shorter time frame than the "bowl season" of college football.

Reducing the field to 32 would eliminate 32 games, not counting the silly play-in games. Granted, some of these games usually are bad, but the TV networks would be losing a lot of programming and as a result the NCAA would lose some TV contract money I would assume........and the NCAA likes money ------the last time I checked.

There would no longer be any 9-16 seeds.

I don’t think anyone believes they would ever drop it down to 32 teams nor do I think UKMF was posting with the idea of making sure the NCAA makes the most amount of money.

Probably true on both counts.
