Lightning 4 Senators 3 OT (NHL)

Featured Replies

Ottawa.

With the Senators up 2-1 early in the third, Mathieu Joseph hit a one timer for his first NHL goal to tie it up. However, with 4:40 to go Cody Ceci scores to give Ottawa back the lead.

Tampa Bay went empty net to get an extra skater with under 2 to go and with under a minute to go, McDonagh stole a puck that would have definitely ended up an empty net goal for the Senators. He got the puck to Tyler Johnson who made a beautiful pass though the goalmouth to Braydon Point who, in turn, tied the game with 26 seconds left.

Point then won the overtime face off and assisted Yani Gourde in the game winner 14 second into overtime period.

I fell asleep and missed most of the game. I'll have to re-watch it.

I listened to the last period and OT on the drive back from Apopka. I was drifting a little there at the end of regulation, thinking it was over, when Dave Mishkin woke me up. :)

I also fell asleep during this game. The Bolts did not look pretty bad early on and I was surprised to see that they pulled it out.
