Ludlow finished third in their district in 1986 and didn't make the playoffs (Beechwood was the lone representative and lost to Cumberland in the state semifinals). Is it possible they hosted some type of NKAC playoff game? Those types of games were unofficial in the state playoff record book but still happened in some conferences up into the 1980s.

 

FWIW, Ludlow has hosted four playoff games in their history since the KHSAA began operating playoffs in 1959: 1975 vs. Raceland, 2015 vs. Kentucky Country Day, 2017 vs. Louisville Holy Cross, and 2018 vs. Louisville Holy Cross.
