I've heard for years that GC football program is basically ran by the parents. Alot kids just don't want to play football for that school knowing another kid will get playing time over them for the wrong reason.

I was shocked. I didn't really pay attention to their sideline until the 3rd quarter. I was wondering if something had happened or that's really how many players they had.

Just to piggyback off my last post, they had one of our kids from Mayfield. I forget first name but his last name was Tyler. Anyways, he transferred to GC his junior after playing the year before for Mayfield. Rode the bench most of his junior year and transfered back to Mayfield and played a pivotal role on the state championship team that year against Williamsburg. I believe he scored the touchdown that tied the game up to go into OT. That's just an example of how GC operates.

That's their roster. It's sad because there talented kids over there in every other sport but football.

Tilghman ended up with 503 rushing yards in last night's game.

 

Tilghman also received good news this week as ATH Tyus White was finally ruled eligible from the KHSAA. Tyus played basketball for Nashville's LEAD Academy and will be a very welcome addition to the basketball team as well.

 

I'm not sure yet at which position he will play, but should be able to make plays wherever they decide to put him. I'm thinking somewhere in the secondary and would be a good receiver.

Good win for Tilghman. The way they are playing makes me think they may be onto something this year.
