The Tigers started 0-2 just like 2017, but took the first step in showing that 2018 is a different year in knocking off Caldwell County 35-20 in the battle of the Tigers. That brings them to their rivalry game with Christian County, who also enter at 1-2. Christian County is coming off a surprising loss to Henderson County (28-7), and their lone win was in a dogfight against the very same Caldwell County team Hopkinsville just beat. Hopkinsville hasn't beaten Christian County since 2014, but is this the year?

Hoptown will win this one in a hard-fought rivalry game.

It will be closer than most expect, because it is a rivalry game. But, Christian County is just not able to score the ball. They cannot attack the field with any type of vertical passing game. Hoptown should be able to stack the box.

Hoptown has a very diverse offense that can get down the field. Their secondary is young, but CC's lack of an air attack should negate that disadvantage.

I believe Hoptown to be the more complete offensive team, but it’s shocking that you think CC will give up 27 pts on defense. Defensively CC hadn’t give up over 14 pts in three games.

I didn't say all of them would be defensive TD's allowed? I just said Hoptown would probably score 27 points.

Christian County gave up 31 to Rossview 2 weeks ago and 28 just last week to Henderson. I don't know how many of those were off turnovers, but they've def allowed more the 14 points as a team 2 weeks in a row.

And if those 2 teams can put up points, then I wouldn't call it shocking that Hoptown could score at least 27. And if they are holding teams to 2 or less touchdowns and still letting teams put points on the boards in other ways, then that is a huge problem.

From that perspective yes. Turnover’s are apart of the game but I don’t expect CC to continue to turn the ball over 5 times a game as they have done the past two games. Rossview won with under 140yds total offense. CC has a better than average defense.
