Kind of my thought as well. It definitely beats rust, anyway. Some folks think it should have been painted "Louisville red". I personally would take the yellow over red.

 

I think the yellow, blue and white bridges up in Cincinnati look pretty decent. Not a huge fan of the purple one up there though.
