Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was one of two men killed early Sunday when a suspected drunken driver struck them as they stood outside their car along a highway in Indianapolis, the team and police said.

 

The Colts said in a statement Sunday that the team is "heartbroken" by Jackson's death and that the 26-year-old "was loved by all in the Colts organization."

If I'm drawing conclusions, it sounds like Jackson was possibly inebriated and took an Uber and then got sick. The driver pulled over to let him purge when they were struck by the pickup truck. That's a very sad irony right there because it sounds like he did the right thing.

Getting sick drunk and puking on the highway may not have exactly the right thing to do. He should have just stayed in the car and taken the $100 fine for throwing up in an Uber. Very sad for all parties involved. I wish the driver of the truck would have been smart enough not to drive.
