Question for Netflix viewers re: Marvel Comics TV shows

Featured Replies

I'm new to Netflix and have just about finished season 2 of Daredevil. Great show.

I'm planning to watch the other Marvel shows they offer. What order should I watch them in so as not to spoil anything?

Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, The Defenders.

Did I leave anything out?

Thanks

Im pretty sure they were released in this order:

Daredevil 1

Jessica Jones

Daredevil 2

Luke Cage

Iron Fist

Defenders

Punisher

I didn’t like Iron Fist all that much and he’s probably the worst part of The Defenders. Really liked both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

I've wondered that myself. I've been caught up in them recently and have totally binged them out of order. I started with Defenders, then went to Jessica Jones, and I just finished Iron Fist last night.

Gonna start Daredevil here in a few.

In order I’ve done The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and now on the second season of Daredevil. Love them all, but they are set up so that you don’t have to watch them in any particular order.

That's a good point. While I've watched this stuff totally out of order, I haven't felt lost. While I was a comic book kid growing up, I was not as into the Marvel stuff as I was DC. However, I have enough background knowledge of most of the characters to where that's also helped me not feel lost.

Wow, just wow. Daredevil is really, really, REALLY violent. I guess that's what happens when you get Russians involved. Or Pvt. Pyle, had he not offed himself in "Full Metal Jacket." Wow.

I think you need to get Jessica Jones out of the way before Luke Cage. In addition to those two I'd watch Daredevil and Iron Fist prior to The Defenders.

I'd also watch S2 of Daredevil prior to watching The Punisher.

Word of warning, Iron Fist is awful. The rest range from good to great.

If I were starting over, I agree. I didn't realize how much of a role The Punisher would have in Season 2 of Daredevil. The Punisher is one mean dude.

I'm now ready to start Iron Fist but have heard nothing but negative things about it. Should I just skip it and go straight to The Defenders?

I would not. You'll miss out on a lot imo. But it's not good. There is no mistaking that.

Wouldn't be the first time I have gone through 13 hours of misery...

Truth. Danny Rand is one of those characters that just brings everything to a grinding halt. I couldn’t be any less interested in that character. The worst thing about The Defenders is that his storyline is so central to it.

Take that dude out and I’d have loved 10 episodes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage just breaking faces.

Yep, Danny Rand sucks. There was some cool Madame Gao stuff in Iron Fist. But that's really about it.
