Coach Smith was Tates Creek's D-coordinator last year.

Congratulations and good luck to Coach Smith and the Commodores!

Congrats Coach Smith!

What is Jonathan Smith's resume besides being the DC last year for Tates Creek?

Coached at Warren East for several years, then moved to Lexington and coached around here for a few years. H-L article said he has spent 19 years as an assistant coach. He's paid his dues in my opinion. Sounds like he is ready to lead his own team.

Coach Smith has been preparing for a head coaching position since his days at Warren East. He has a plan for how he wants to run a program. He's been through the ringer and worked with some good men. It's good to see him get an opportunity. Good luck, Coach Smith.
