Augusta 81 St. Patrick 77

Featured Replies

Augusta gets their 8th win of the season and 2nd District win over the Saints in a barnburner at the Panther Den. The victory is sealed by both Philpot and Mains hitting double bonus FTs as the Saints are forced to foul late.

Scoring: St. Pats - Garrison 28, B. Swolsky 17, J. Swolsky 3, Jones 15, McCall 6 and Black 8

Augusta - Philpot 24, Eichenberg 21, Cordle 11, White 7, Mains 9 and Rippato 3

Of special note is that Garrison and Ben Swolsky combined for 60% of the Saints 77 points. Candidly, I was impressed with the team's chemistry and look for them to be a formidable threat by Districts.

Did Baylen Bauer play?

He did. Solid floor game, unfortunately for St. Pats fouled out in 4th quarter when his presence would have been most needed.

Augusta and St. Pat seem to get along really well and have a mutual respect for each other, something that is missing in a lot of high school rivalries.

I think they do get along like real competitors should . Between the lines complete effort every play, every minute. Outside the lines it is handshakes, back pats, congrats and smiles. What HS sports were meant to be.
