The best penalty killing unit in the NHL let themselves down. The Tampa Bay loss snapped a 7 game winning streak. The Bolts (24-7-2) went 3-1 on the road trip and still lead Toronto by 7 points in the Atlantic Division. They have a +42 goal differential vs their opponents. The closest team to them in that regard is LA, who has a +25. Vegas (22-9-2) is tied with LA in points for the lead in the Pacific Division. Amazing for an expansion club.
December 20, 20178 yr I saw that the Knights won but didn't know it was in dramatic fashion. I went to bed after Stamkos' one-timer put the Lightning ahead 1-0. I wish I'd have stayed up for that one. How many game winners happen in the final 5 seconds of regulation? A couple weeks ago, I watched the Blackhawks beat the Sabres with 5 seconds left in OT. Good or bad, those types of game winners are fun to see.
