Beechwood played four games in six days. Sounds like they have mid-season fatigue already.

Wow, just looked at the schedule. They play again tomorrow night against Dixie.

For a team that knows they will always not have their football players until December, you would think they would schedule lighter early in the hoops season.

Not many football players play basketball at Beechwood anymore for whatever reason. Football this year has very little impact on Beechwood basketball.

4 games in 6 days is next to nothing for these kids nowadays. Most good players that play AAU May play 3 games in one day, or 6-8 games in 3 days.

 

Looks like Brannen had a good game and Draud did his thing. Sounds like Newport shot lights out and lived more up to the preseason billing.

That’s a little inaccurate. The Baugh twins at Center are 6’4” and over 220lbs each. Very aggressive and put opposing centers in disarray. Beechwood will look very different with 10 more fouls to give and imposing presence in the middle. Surrounded by shooters. Let’s see in a month.

This is correct. My point was they were not waiting for a bunch of football players, although they could use some of the athletes. The Baugh twins will help with rebounding and defense but it shouldn't take a month. They will be able to help with defense and rebounding and give some fouls rather quickly. I think they are already playing and are in fine shape.
