Yet you and others rely on the score of a game from a year ago. Why does that game tell the whole story. I knew you would fall for it. It doesn’t tell the whole story. I didn’t make a prediction or give an opinion of what those facts mean at all. I just posted them. You on the other hand did. So it is you prediction that is the one that is terrible.

I’m sure you will say it is based on more. Rockcastle rushed for a lot. Does that tell the whole story. 25 % and one score came after the game was out of reach. But you didn’t have the whole story did you. They got out scored. Last time I checked that is the only stat that determines the winner.

Also you make judgements on atheltism and size of Wayne without watching them play. You say Ashland is comparable. If you watched tape or film you would see they aren’t. Have you watched Wayne’s defense. No. You ask for information and then make leaps from four sentences of information that Ashland’s defense is better. But you have one sentence of information to base that conclusion on. Seems like a terrible way to predict an outcome.

The bolded is the only thing I'm going to respond to because it's simply not true. Not once have I referenced last season's JC/Wayne game, nor the score. I didn't fall for anything either, I'm just giving my opinion, I don't have a dog in the fight. But I have seen JC enough to know what it would take to beat them this season. Which is why earlier in the thread I asked some questions about Wayne. Comparing those scores is just absurd though, it's all about matchups.

You wrote,”Great points and I pretty much feel the same way.” Quoting a post that referenced last years game.

Just the facts.

I guess I should have bolded everything that I agreed with. Last year's score had nothing to do with me saying "great points." The "pretty much feel the same way" should tell you that I didn't agree with all of the points made in that post. You seem to be on edge and analyzing every word, relax a little man.

Personally I hope its a great game and I'll admit that I haven't seen Wayne County play this season, which is why I asked questions about them early on in the thread. The answers I received gave me no indication that Wayne will beat JC, I'm sorry if my opinion offends you.

Not on edge. Just read the post for what it says. I concede “pretty much” doesn’t mean all.

You ask a general question. You got a very general answer. For one reason, I was not going to talk trash. Still you made specific comparisons with little basis.

You are entitled to your opinion and I can poke at it. You poked first in saying I used a terrible way to predict games even though I didn’t predict.

So be it. We now know neither relied on prior games scores.

I just see people posting scores and comparing scores all the time to try and determine the winner of a game. That's how the computer polls work and even one of the best which includes more data than most "calpreps" gets those games wrong as well. Go back and look at the Raceland/Paris prediction thread and you'll see where I'm coming from. Had you just posted the scores I wouldn't have responded, but you threw in "facts are facts." Which you are correct, those are factual scores, however it was obvious what you were trying to proclaim by using those scores.

I'll say that if Wayne has the athletes and a large oline, the key to beating JC is to really get the passing game involved and make some big plays off from that. You mentioned that Wayne is more of a running team than most think, but to be honest against JC you're just going to want to use the run to keep the defense honest. That said, unless the Wayne oline is really large and quick, it's going to be hard to keep JC out of the backfield and away from the qb.

Okay.

This is the two best teams in 4A. I have said all year that Johnson Central #1, Wayne County #2. I for one hope Wayne wins, but this will be a tall order. Good luck and lets hope its a great game. I sure hope it is warmer. :)

Wayne Co. 21-20.

Another monster game in the bluegrass. Both teams are solid,so this one will come down to breaks: Penalties and turnovers. With all things equal I give the Cardinals an edge at home 31-24.
