Based on what? There is literally no evidence to suggest they are not...

Notre Dame is not a top 10 team.

 

Neither team has a QB that will make the difference. How it took ND the whole first half to stop the QB draws is beyond me.

 

Miami is every bit top 4!

Notre Dame was overrated and Miami slightly underrated.

Miami should slide into one of the top 4 playoff spots in the next poll.

 

ND tends to get overrated really quickly whenever they have a decent team. For example when they made it to the BCS National Championship game.... they didn't belong there. However, fan base is so large it does TV/advertisements well to have them seem relevant whenever it is possible.
