gchs_uk9
Could see this one coming. South Warren is a good team. I was never wowed by Christian this season even with the undefeated record.
SomewhereOffTheMap
3-0 game at half. Christian Co. took opening drive of second half and drove down to score and take 6-3 lead. Big plays, penalties, and turnovers doomed Colonels from there out. Hats off to South Warren, made the plays when they counted.
jcarter
First half south was inside the 10 3 times and came away with only 3 points. First drive inside 10 ended with a south fumble. Second drive south went 4 and out going for it on 4th from 1 AST drive south held out at two before letting clock run to around 20 seconds then kicking field goal. South drove Perry good in first half but couldn’t finish it. Inside the 5 Christian stacked the box with 9 and 10 and Winn could not go anywhere. Christian County opens after half with a good drive to take the lead then South answered to regain the lead with a 89 yard pass from Spurrier to Eblen and never looked back. South had 3 interceptions by Byrd and a big one by Eblen that set up a TD. Christian County was big and physical across the front. Not sure though if that was a result of them selling out to stop the run and dare south to beat them with the pass. All in All it was a great game even when South got the big lead Christian County did not give up and played to the last second. Hats off to them for not getting down on themselves and continuing to compete. Speaks loudly about their coaching staff and what they are trying to do. They kep that attitude they will be back.
