Madisonville went after ACS like a pack of starving wolves. The Maroons blew out to a 21-0 1st quarter lead and that was the game. The Patriots we’re on their heels and never got back to their toes.

AC-S had a pretty good team. Might they have been looking ahead to a re-match with F-S?

Not a chance. They just got smacked in the mouth by a team that matched up very well with them. The Maroons ran it straight at them and they were unable to adjust quickly enough. And the offensive line was their undoing in each loss. Too many sacks, and couldn’t give Wilson enough time.

As for this game, I like Franklin’s chances better in matching up with Madisonville. They aren’t deficient on the lines, on either side of the ball. And they can run the ball while Allen Co.-Scottsville struggled with that.

Two teams who like to run the ball and won't pass unless they have to. FS run defense is really good though and unless Madisonville can pass it some, FS should take this one.

But I do remember a couple of second place Madisonville teams coming to Franklin in recent years. In 2011 they gave FS its closest game before the Wildcats lost to Highlands in the state finals. In 2014 the Maroons came in and upset FS with a big second half. It could happen again if the Wildcats are not ready to play.

Madisonville running back ran 46 times for 296 yards against ACS. They even threw the ball some too. Should be a good game. Hopefully it will have dry conditions.

I did not recognize that ACS team that played Madisonville.

The Maroons were in attack mode both offensively and defensively from the kickoff. ACS never found their footing.

Based off the game stats FS seemed to have their way with ACS too, as far as running the ball, but can FS stay with this team and their ability to run and pass?

Through 11 games FS has averaged allowing 52 yds rushing per game and 80 yds passing.

Through 11 games FS has averaged 332 rushing/game and 52 passing.

Breaking down the passing game further that is 9.2 yds/att and 1 TD for every 5.5 attempts. (55 attempts 507 yds, 46/game with 10 TDs)

Through 11 games NHHS has averaged 281 yds rushing/game and 57.8 passing.

The NHHS passing game has 636 passing on 95 attempts with 9 TDs. That is 6.7 yds/attempt and 1 TD for every 10.55 attempts.

Looks pretty even actually.

Great work!

It does look pretty even. It sure looks like a good game in the making.
