Which QB started against BG?

#2 started then they moved him to fullback. #16 then filled in at QB.

The occasional Wildcat formation can gain some yards but in round 1 of playoffs (win or go home) it was like they were still experimenting with QB position. Head scratcher for me to understand.

Which QB started against BG?

Brown started and only played 1 series. Belcher played most of 1st 2nd and 3rd quarter. Then Brown was under center later

Agree with all the above posters.

*participation needs to increase to add depth and not have kids going both ways

*spread them out, implement run/pass options

*throw the ball downfield, ohs speed and ability to get behind the defense is there

*be able to run out of the shotgun or under center

*show some imagination offensively, my friend can be sitting in stands with me and call the play before it happens with almost 100% accuracy

*find a offensive coordinator that knows the spread and I’m sure he can add a few more run wrinkles to it if that’s what coach Fallon wants

*i believe more kids would come out to play if it was wide open spread style. That’s what kids watch on tv and want to do

These are just a few things, I am sure there are more ideas that the devil faithful are thinking. Good luck!

Rosco,

I agree with most everything you have above. After the 2017 season, Owensboro had 37 guys listed as playing at least 2 varsity games. After the 2015 season, Owensboro had 57 guys listed as playing at least 2 varsity games. Reverse this trend.

My addition is that "time is of the essence". A talent like Owsley doesn't come around every day. Although he did have a good season with 58 rushes for 685 yards (most on the team, but 3rd most attempts). I have always considered Owsley along the same lines as BGs Jamale Carothers. Those are big words. During Carothers Sophomore year, he carried the ball 132 times for just over 1,000 yards.

When last weeks score was 41-7, I saw a glimpse of what the O offense could be running Owsley as the feature back and O scored their last TD. I assume a big factor is that Owsley also plays Safety. He is a good safety and made many tackles, but he is more valuable on the other side of the ball. I also want to say I witnessed him displaying a tremendous amount of sportsmanship on the field last Friday. Very admirable!

He will be a Junior next season. You have 2 years Red Devils fans. Don't waste this talent!
