Ok. First game of the season have best win of the year at home. Jackson had seven carries. From the looks of the stats four turnovers were a big difference.

 

Either way they’ve played their two best opponents in last two weeks and lost. That’s going backwards.

 

Just trying to make some discussion. I'm not a big fan of gauging a team in how they played in their first game of the season. People like to look back at Ashland's loss to Harlan County and I've pretty much said you may as well pretend that game didn't happen as Ashland is a completely different team now. The same could be said for JC, the Joe Jackson loss may have hurt them more than what most would like to believe. Regardless, they do still have the best win in the class at this point in time.

 

They lost to two really solid teams on the road with the Ashland game being a nail biter and the Eagles were up 19-0 on Belfry early in the game. While a loss is still a loss, I'm not sure how far backwards they are going. I still stand by Capital being the best team they have played though, Belfry would give them a really good game, but IMO Capitol is better than Belfry and I don't think Ashland could play within a couple of scores of Capital.

Capital lost to Huntington by 3 and beat Cabell by 6.

 

For comparison Belfry lost to Huntington by 9 and beat Cabell by 21.

 

I think it shows they are pretty comparable.

Thank you 85 Rebel. Boyle is most definitely best team I seen play this year. I posted after we lost that Boyle was best fundamental team I had watched in high school. I think the fumble when we were about to score before halftime was the killer. I believe you guys win 3a.
