October 16, 20178 yr Author PAC 12 is probably out at this point. Only way Clemson is left out is if BAMA or UGA, PSU, TCU and ND run the table. Even with that I don't know if it's enough to keep them out. It would be close, ND has a chance to pick up some quality wins I think ND is going to really hurt by not being in a conference this year. I don't think you could put them in over a 1 loss conference champ from any conference except maybe the PAC 12 which would require them knocking off USC this week anyways. No matter what I think the game this weekend eliminates either the PAC 12 or Notre Dame.
October 16, 20178 yr IMO if PSU & TCU win out they're in, so that's 2. If an undefeated Bama & undefeated UGA play in the SEC championship and it's a one score game. Does Clemson still get in? Personally I don't think they would let two teams from the same conference in, but a loss to Bama/UGA is no where near as bad as a loss to 'Cuse.

The 'Cuse loss was a bad loss. Clemson maybe pulls it out with Bryant - which the committee can consider - but he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire when he left the game.
